Kina and Bound Kina

Kina is AION 2’s main everyday currency. You will use it for many NPC purchases, crafting costs, and other character progression expenses. Some players write “Kinah,” but the Global client uses the spelling Kina.

How to earn Kina

  • Complete quests, duties, and repeatable activities.
  • Clear dungeons and other content that awards Kina.
  • Collect eligible drops and use permitted in-game selling systems.
  • Check attendance, pass, and event rewards for additional currency.

Bound versus unbound Kina

Bound and unbound Kina share the same currency name, but they do not have identical uses. Bound Kina is intended for your character’s own progression and cannot be used in every trading feature. Unbound Kina is used by certain player-market and exchange systems when those features are available to your account.

Check the currency type shown in the relevant interface before planning a trade or purchase. A large total in your wallet does not necessarily mean every unit can be used for every transaction.

Tip: Keep some Kina available for regular progression costs instead of spending your entire balance as soon as you earn it.

Quna

Quna is AION 2’s premium currency. It is used in the premium shop and may be used for selected services or pass-related options. Available products can change, so review the current shop before purchasing or spending Quna.

Quna is different from regular Kina. The Global version may also provide specific in-game exchange features, subject to account eligibility and the rules shown in the client. Check current membership and account requirements before relying on an exchange feature.

Mileage

Mileage is a separate reward balance associated with eligible shop purchases. It is not the same as Quna and is not general-purpose money. Open the Mileage Shop to check the current rewards and any purchase conditions.

Abyss Points

Abyss Points are tied to Abyss and PvP progression. They can be spent in the Abyss Trade Shop on eligible rewards, which may include character-growth materials and PvP-focused items.

Players can earn them through Abyss activities and other eligible competitive content. Some duties or reward tracks may also provide points, so check the activity description for the current sources.

PvP-focused players may want to check the Abyss shop regularly. PvE-focused players should compare its rewards with other available sources before spending points.

Silver Medals of Merit

Silver Medals of Merit are a separate activity-specific currency used for selected shop rewards. They are not the same as Abyss Points. Check the price label in the shop to confirm which currency each item requires.

Phantasmal Fragments

Phantasmal Fragments are associated with Nightmare content and are spent in the Nightmare Trade Shop. The shop may offer progression materials and other rewards.

If Nightmare is part of your routine, check the shop before each reset and decide what you are saving for. This makes it easier to avoid spending fragments on a short-term item when you have a longer-term goal.

Centuryroot Tokens

Centuryroot Tokens are linked to Shugo Festival activities and the Festival Shop. Depending on the current shop stock, rewards may include progression items, collection rewards, or cosmetics.

Check the available stock before spending. The best choice depends on whether your priority is character progression or collection rewards.

Oath Coins

Oath Coins are seasonal currency used in the Season Shop. Check the current season’s missions and related activities for ways to earn them.

Season systems can change. Review the current reward list and any expiration notice before deciding whether to save or spend your coins.

Daeva Pass Shop Coins

Daeva Pass Shop Coins come from Daeva Pass progression and are spent in the Pass Shop. They are separate from Quna, even when a pass also has a premium reward track.

Check the pass schedule and the shop’s expiration details before the current pass ends.

Halloween Pumpkin Coins

Halloween Pumpkin Coins are a limited event currency for the Global Trick or Treat event. While the event is active, players can earn them from event attendance and missions, then exchange them with event merchants for listed rewards.

The current event is scheduled to run from the October 13, 2026 maintenance (PDT) / October 14 (CEST) until the November 3 maintenance (PST) / November 4 (CET). This is temporary event information; check the in-game notice for the latest schedule and shop details.

Remember: Do not assume event coins carry over to another event. Check their item description and spend them before the listed expiration date if required.

Enhance Stones

Enhance Stones are progression materials used for equipment enhancement and related exchanges. Check the stone’s tier and the target upgrade system before using it, since different upgrades may require different materials.

Daevanion Crystals

Daevanion Crystals support Daevanion progression. Some systems use different crystal variants, so confirm the exact type required by the node or upgrade you want before spending them.

If you are building toward a specific board unlock, check the full cost first. That helps you decide whether to save crystals or use them on smaller upgrades along the way.

Odyle Energy

Odyle Energy is a limited gameplay resource rather than regular shop money. In eligible dungeons and activities, it is used to claim reward cubes. You may still complete an activity without energy, but energy is needed to claim the associated cube reward.

Odyle Energy replenishes over time and has a cap. If it reaches that cap, further recovery may be wasted until you spend some. Exact caps, recovery rates, cube costs, and extra sources can change, so use the values shown in your current client.

A practical Odyle Energy routine

  • Check your energy before taking a long break so you do not stay at the cap unnecessarily.
  • Use it on activities whose rewards match your current progression goals.
  • Review weekly exchanges and pass rewards if you need more energy.
  • Compare the expected reward with the energy cost before choosing a higher difficulty.

Do not confuse Odyle Energy with crafting materials that contain “Odyle” in their names. Similar names do not mean they are the same item or serve the same purpose.

How to Plan Your Currency Routine

For new players

  1. Keep a Kina reserve for everyday progression and crafting costs.
  2. Claim attendance, duty, and pass rewards that fit your normal playtime.
  3. Save shop tokens until you have checked their matching shop.
  4. Learn which features accept bound or unbound Kina before planning a transaction.
  5. Spend limited event currency before its listed deadline.

For experienced players

  1. Choose a clear target, such as a skill upgrade, Daevanion node, equipment improvement, or PvP reward.
  2. Find the shop that sells it and note the currency it requires.
  3. Compare overlapping reward sources before spending a rare token.
  4. Plan around weekly resets, pass schedules, and seasonal expiration rules.
  5. Use Odyle Energy where the reward supports your current build.

The simplest rule is to farm the activity that gives the currency for your next goal. A large balance is less useful if it cannot buy what your character needs.
