Introduction of Dynamax

Pokémon GO is set to debut the Dynamax feature, bringing an exciting new gameplay element known as Max Battles. This new feature allows trainers to engage with familiar Pokémon in a brand new way.

Event Details

The Dynamax event will run from September 10, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. to September 15, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time. During this period, trainers can participate in 1-star Max Battles featuring:

  • Bulbasaur
  • Charmander
  • Squirtle
  • Skwovet
  • Wooloo

Shiny versions of these Pokémon may also be available during the event.

Special Research Tasks

In addition to Max Battles, trainers can complete new Special Research tasks focused on this feature. These tasks will provide rewards like Max Particles and a special Dynamax Band avatar item. The research is available from September 3 to December 3, 2024.

Event Bonuses

Players will benefit from bonuses during the Dynamax event:

  • 2× XP for winning a Max Battle
  • 2× XP for spinning PokéStops

Field Research Opportunities

Completing Field Research tasks during this time will also allow encounters with the same Pokémon featured in Max Battles, keeping the Shiny potential alive.

Max Particle Pack

A Max Particle Pack Bundle will be available for purchase starting September 8, 2024. This pack includes 4,800 Max Particles for $7.99.
