The Pokémon GO Pinch Perfect event introduces brand-new Pokémon, shiny debuts, and research-focused gameplay. This guide breaks down everything you need to know — from how to get Klawf to the best way to hunt Shiny Dhelmise, plus smart strategies to maximize rewards during the event.

The Pinch Perfect event is a limited-time Pokémon GO event themed around claw, crustacean, and anchor-style Pokémon. It marks the first-ever appearance of Klawf and the shiny debut of Dhelmise.
Unlike many events, this one leans heavily into research tasks and raids, making planning especially important.
Klawf, the Rock-type Pokémon from Paldea, makes its Pokémon GO debut during this event. However, it does not spawn in the wild.
Tip: If you only want Klawf for your Pokédex, the free Timed Research is enough. Paid research is mainly for extra encounters and premium items.
Shiny Dhelmise debuts for the first time during the Pinch Perfect event, making it one of the most valuable targets.
Dhelmise does not spawn in the wild, so raiding is the most reliable strategy. If you're shiny hunting, prioritize raids over research tasks.
During the event, several claw-themed Pokémon appear more frequently in the wild.
Most of these Pokémon can appear as shiny, making wild catching a good secondary focus while completing research tasks.
Raid Priority: Focus on Dhelmise raids first. 1-star raids are mainly useful for shiny hunting or completing research tasks quickly.
The free Timed Research is available to all players and includes:
Paid research offers extra rewards such as:
Event Field Research tasks often reward Pokémon encounters, including Dhelmise. Spin PokéStops frequently to stack tasks efficiently.
Using a Lucky Egg during mass catching sessions can dramatically increase XP gains.
The Pinch Perfect event rewards planning more than pure grinding — prioritize your goals before jumping in.
